IWTM-UK Award Winners

IWTM-UK win the CSA Environmental Contribution Award 2024 for innovative work with CBRE and Redcentric remediating the data centre water quality using chemical-free water treatment.

On the 10th October 2024, the Commissioning Specialists Association held their Awards Ceremony where IWTM-UK were the winners for The Environmental Contribution Award 2024.

The judging panel of 15 industry experts recognised our work with CBRE and Redcentric, where we remediated the date centre water quality using IWTM's chemical-free processes. All water was treated in situ whilst saving the client £500,000 versus chemical remediation.

At least 380,000 litres of water saved compared with chemical flushing, potentially more.
A minimum of 160 no. of 25litre drums of chemicals prevented from being transported and used.
5 tanker lorries stopped from travelling to and from site to remove the system water that was too badly contaminated to obtain a waste water license.
We did not use ANY chemicals in the cleaning process.
System remained live at all times with no downtime.

This project was to clean up a data centre chilled water network to make it acceptable for the new chillers that required a chemical-free water standard that was very close to the requirements of VDI 2035. Our solution which included the installation of 4 no. IWTM Protector® P70's resulted in saving 380m³ of filling water, cleaning the system without the need to drain, no dumping or removal of water, no wastewater licences or tankers and not 1 litre of chemicals used in the cleaning process.
